Phil Warnock
Founder
Phil, our founder has also had many roles for the apprenticeship ambassador network (AAN) on behalf of the ESFA. He has been Chair of the AAN for South East of England, a business advisor for Princess’ Trust, a trustee and fed into numerous apprenticeship stakeholder groups. With extensive experience working with apprentices having developed our media business the business through the apprenticeship scheme, Phil uses this insight to support the organisations we work in partnership with. Phil’s main focus is on client engagement meaning most of our business’ directly experience the benefit of his insight into apprenticeships as both an employer, provider, ambassador and key influencer in the apprenticeship sphere. You can’t beat first-hand experience and Phil has a unique blend of experience as an employer of apprentices, training provider and strategic partner.
Dan Williams
Director
Dan again is a Director of the business and utterly leads from the front in everything he does. He leads on our finance functions working very closely with our administrative team to ensure financial compliance and reporting is second to none. Alongside this he is also responsible for developing curriculum and currently works on some of the newest standards we deliver at Ginger Nut ensuring quality and impact of learning is achieved with even the newest of our apprenticeship standards. He is incredibly hands on supporting tutors in this space with both resources, line management and project coordination. He works very closely with tanya supporting our delivery and centre manager with the day to day running of the business.

Harry Simpson
Director
Harry is one of the Directors here at Ginger Nut, He works closely with the team on directing quality, client engagement and supporting the business across all functions. Harry has been with Ginger Nut since 2011 and has been a huge influence on the business’ success. He has vast experience in advising massive business’ on how to spend their levy pot successfully and of course has had a huge amount of experience of hiring apprentices personally from his time with our media division. There isn’t an area of the business that Harry does not have influence over and he is an outstanding member of the team. A graduate of one of the most prestigious graduate schemes in media during the noughties at one of the largest publishers (we don’t hold his degree against him) harry has a huge amount of experience working in both large and small business.

Laura Brookes
Public Sector Engagement Manager
Laura has joined Ginger Nut from Health Education England, part of the NHS and now leads our public sector apprenticeships.

Having worked for Health Education England, Laura has a unique understanding of the NHS including national workforce strategies including the Talent for Care and Widening Participation Agenda.
Laura specialises in stakeholder engagement and workforce development, ensuring organisations and learners gain the maximum benefit from the training they receive with us. Laura has vast experience working in the acute, community and primary care sectors. She has also worked to bring together organisations at a regional level to address workforce issues across a large foot print.
Susan Pope
Internal Verifier
Susan has over eight years of experience as an internal verify and centre manager.

Within Ginger Nut Training, Susan leads quality assurance at a strategic level, working closely with Tanya to verify the work of assessors and the training they deliver. Susan also leads regular standardisation meetings as well as ensures staff are given CPD training including industry specific training to build on their experience and keep Ginger Nut Training at the forefront of apprenticeship delivery.
Laura specialises in stakeholder engagement and workforce development, ensuring organisations and learners gain the maximum benefit from the training they receive with us. Laura has vast experience working in the acute, community and primary care sectors. She has also worked to bring together organisations at a regional level to address workforce issues across a large foot print.

Tanya Murphy
Centre Manager
Tanya has over eleven years within the training sector.

Tanya is responsible for managing our team of assessors, quality assuring the training we provide as well as liaising directly with the SFA and apprenticeship awarding bodies to ensure we remain at the forefront of apprenticeship delivery. Tanya also works closely with the employer engagement team to develop schemes of work built around the needs of our clients as well as supporting the overall delivery of our training programmes.

Laura has vast experience working in the acute, community and primary care sectors. Katarina Greenshield
Apprenticeship Assessor
Katrina is a fully qualified assessor and IQA with over 12 years’ experience in the industry.

For the past 11 years, she has been teaching work based learning qualifications including Functional Skills up to Level 2 in English, mathematics and ICT. Katrina’s extensive experience in apprenticeship delivery spans across both private and public sector. This includes supporting learners of all ages in various roles to successfully achieve their qualification.
Katrina is approved to deliver a range of qualifications including:
• Team Leading/Management up to Level 5
• ICT (IT Users) up to Level 3
• Retail Up to Level 3
• Business Administration up to Level 3
• Customer Service up to Level 3
• Hospitality up to Level 3 (front of house only)
• Call centre and Telesales up to Level 3
• Sales and Marketing up to Level 3
• Recruitment up to Level 3
• TAQA Level 3
Professional background
Katrina’s extensive experience in the training industry has equipped her with a strong understanding of the public sector and its workforce needs.
Prior to commencing her role as an assessor, Katrina held various senior management roles as well as customer service. As well as being an assessor for Ginger Nut Training, Katrina is also an active member of her local PTA, acting as Treasurer. This includes reviewing budgets, managing risk, organising events and administration duties.
Katrina’s vast experience as an assessor combined with her employment history and passion for developing people, means she offers effective support to learners, ensuring they successfully achieve their apprenticeship.

Lewis Fordham
Finance
Running the day to day financing process.

Lewis coordinates all aspects of Ginger Nut financial process including invoicing, order confirmations and supporting our finance director with payment aspects of the Digital Apprenticeship Service. As a former apprentice, Lewis also represents the team at young people focused events, speaking to individuals about apprenticeships and the opportunities they bring.

Shona Doherty
Trainee Assessor
Shona is a senior member of the team and support learners through the pre-enrolment process…

As a trainee assessor, Shona also manages a small case of learners under the supervision of Tanya and uses her vast experience within the digital marketing sector, to train junior marketing and digital apprentices.

Ryan Partridge
IT
Ryan leads IT within Ginger Nut…

…not only ensuring the efficient running of the Ginger Nut IT system, but working directly with clients to support them through the online apprenticeship recruitment process. Ryan also works closely with applicants when online applications are received. As part of the employer support we provide, Ryan offers telephone and online support for employers working with Ginger Nut Training, dealing with any IT issues if they arise. Ryan also oversees the IT element of the free recruitment support package we provide for clients.
Tanya Murphy
Centre Manager
Tanya is responsible for managing our team of tutor/ coaches and the entire centre. She has done pretty much every role in a training provider with over 15 years’ experience and very much leads from the front understanding every single part of the business. She quality assures the training we provide as well as liaising directly with the SFA and apprenticeship awarding bodies to ensure we remain at the forefront of apprenticeship delivery.
