How Ginger Nut Deliver
Our training delivery is based on a remote, blended model of one-to-one sessions, small group sessions, and classroom sessions every 4 weeks, webinars, online courses and other learning resources such as videos, and additional individual support as required. This means that our learners have the guidance they need as well as the flexibility to learn around the requirements of their jobs. We find that this approach reduces disruption for the learners and their line managers giving everyone the best chance of benefitting from the training and completing the course.ௗௗ

The Portfolio
Throughout the apprenticeship journey, the apprentice will be set tasks to complete. A portfolio of evidence will be compiled to showcase the outcomes of these tasks. The portfolio will be submitted towards the end of the apprenticeship.
Assessing Gateway and EPA Readiness
On completion of on-programme learning Ginger Nut rigorously assess whether apprentices are ready to pass through the ‘Gateway’ to their end-point assessment. To do this we complete a Gateway Eligibility meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to confirm that all parties agree that the apprentice has met the requirements of the apprenticeship standard
and is ready for end-point assessment. At this meeting the portfolio of evidence is reviewed along with functional skills completions/exemptions. During the meeting we will discuss the different aspects of the apprenticeship standard and confirm that the apprentice has met the full criteria.
End Point Assessment methods
The apprentice will be assessed by taking four online knowledge tests and completing a project, followed by an interview. An independent assessor will run the interview and ask a series of questions. All assessments are based on the standard’s Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours, as published in the Standard and Assessment Plan.
