How Ginger Nut Deliver
Our training delivery is based on a remote, blended model of one-to-one sessions, at least every 4 weeks, group sessions, webinars, online courses, video, and additional support as required. This means that our learners have the guidance they need as well as the flexibility to learn around the requirements of their jobs. We find that this approach reduces disruption for the learners and their line managers giving everyone the best chance of benefitting from the training and completing the course.
Learners will be assigned a named tutor for the apprenticeship course. The tutor will tailor the training based on the individual and will use additional tools such as Cognassist and BKSB assessments to determine how to set the training so that it aligns with the individual. Furthermore, the aim is to make the training as relevant to your workplace context as possible thus it is important that the Learner, Line Manager and Tutor are aligned around the learner study and support.
To support learning, all learners are given access to LinkedIn Learning, with bespoke channels designed to support their apprenticeship.

Project Activity and Portfolio Building
As part of their apprenticeship the learner will collect evidence of the work that they have done. This will be collected into a portfolio which will be submitted to the Assessment Organisation at gateway.
The apprentice will also have to complete a project report about a project that they have worked on, either alone or as part of a team. It must be a real world business project and cover the lifecycle of a solution delivery.
Gateway and Assessment
On completion of on-programme learning Ginger Nut rigorously assess whether apprentices are ready to pass through the ‘Gateway’, to their end-point assessment. To do this we complete a Gateway Eligibility meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to confirm that all parties agree that the apprentice has met the requirements of the apprenticeship standard and is ready for end-point assessment. At this meeting the portfolio of evidence is reviewed along with functional skills completions/exemptions. During the meeting we will discuss the different aspects of the apprenticeship standard and confirm that the apprentice has met the full criteria.
Apprenticeship Assessment methods
The assessment will be in two parts, Project with presentation and questioning, and Profession discussion underpinned by portfolio.
Project with presentation and questioning
After gateway has been completed, the apprentice must write and submit a 2,000 word report about a project that they worked to deliver. They must submit this, along with a presentation within 4 weeks of gateway.
They will then need to deliver the presentation, taking 20 minutes, with 40 minutes of follow up questioning on the content of the report.
