Packing with Purpose: Our Day with Comfort Cases UK Home – Comfort Cases UK

We had the absolute privilege of joining a team packing day with Comfort Cases UK, a charity dedicated to supporting children in care and care leavers. Alongside the inspiring Sarah Jacoby (CEO, Comfort Cases UK) and our amazing team, (including two apprentices!)— Sammi Myers, Jemma Moorey, Grace McDougall, and Phil Warnock — we rolled up our sleeves and got to work. And we LOVED it. ❤️

What We Did

During the session, we helped prepare backpacks filled with essential and comforting items — from toiletries and pyjamas to personal care products. These backpacks are more than just supplies; they’re a symbol of dignity, hope, and care for young people who often go without. It was a hands-on, heartwarming experience that reminded us how small actions can make a big difference.

I’m running a 10K.

If you know me, you’ll know running has never been my thing 🫣I used to avoid it at all costs and honestly couldn’t understand it. But somehow over the last few weeks and months, I’ve been going out, training every week and actually sticking to it.

On 10th May, I’ll be running my first 10K to raise money for Comfort Cases UK a charity that supports children entering the care system by giving them the essentials they need and something they can truly call their own.

The reason I chose this charity is because of what they stand for. The idea that a child going through such a difficult, uncertain time could be given something of their own, something that brings even a small sense of comfort really stuck with me. It’s more than just the items they provide, it’s the message behind it: that these children matter, that they’re seen, and that they deserve care and dignity. Even just the day I spent with the team, creating cases and getting to know the wonderful ladies there left such an impression, I’m sure it’ll do the same for you
