At Ginger Nut Training, we are passionate about creating opportunities for people to learn, grow and bring new ideas back into their communities and workplaces.
That’s why we’re delighted to highlight that Churchill Fellowship applications are now open, and particularly proud that Katy, one of Ginger Nut Training’s volunteer advisory governors, is among those helping to champion the programme and the impact it can have.
What is a Churchill Fellowship?
The Churchill Fellowship offers UK citizens the opportunity to explore issues they are passionate about by learning from best practice around the world and bringing those insights back to create positive change in the UK.
Each year, Fellows investigate solutions to challenges across a wide range of themes including:
- Education and skills
- Employment and social mobility
- Health and wellbeing
- Community development
- Sustainability
- Leadership and innovation
The Fellowship provides funding for individuals to travel overseas, research their chosen topic, and share their findings to drive meaningful impact at home.
Why It Matters
One of the most valuable aspects of the Churchill Fellowship is the opportunity to learn from different approaches, cultures and systems.
By examining what is working elsewhere, Fellows can:
- Challenge existing thinking
- Discover innovative solutions
- Build international networks
- Bring practical ideas back to their sector or community
For those working within education, skills, apprenticeships and social mobility, the programme offers a unique opportunity to explore new ways of supporting learners and employers.
A Connection to Ginger Nut Training
We are particularly pleased to see the Fellowship promoted by Katy, one of our volunteer advisory governors, whose support helps provide valuable external challenge, insight and perspective to Ginger Nut Training.
Our governors play an important role in helping us continuously improve and remain focused on delivering high-quality outcomes for learners, employers and communities.
Thinking of Applying?
If you are passionate about creating change, solving problems or improving opportunities for others, a Churchill Fellowship could be an excellent opportunity to develop your ideas and expand your impact.
Applications are now open, and we would encourage anyone interested to explore the programme and consider applying.
