One of our apprentices recently attended the Post-16 Skills and Education Meeting at the House of Parliament—a key event focused on shaping the future of education and skills development in the UK.
Reflecting on the experience, Elle said:
“Today I had the opportunity to attend the Post-16 skills and education meeting at the House of Parliament. Being in such an important setting made the discussion feel even more meaningful, especially as we focused on the future of education and the steps needed to support young people into successful careers.As a training provider, it was inspiring to hear how the sector is planning to close the current skills gaps and make real changes that will benefit both learners and employers. We explored what to expect in the coming years, how training programmes may evolve, and how we can better align education with industry needs.”
This meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration between education providers, policymakers, and employers to ensure that training programmes meet the evolving needs of industry.
