At Ginger Nut Training, we believe that talent comes in many forms and that people learn, communicate and solve problems in different ways.
That is why we are proud to have joined Neurodiversity in Business (NiB), a cross-industry organisation committed to improving neuroinclusion in the workplace and helping employers create environments where neurodivergent individuals can thrive.

Joining Neurodiversity in Business reflects our commitment to creating inclusive opportunities for both learners and colleagues, and to continually improving the way we support individuals with different strengths, experiences and ways of thinking.

Why Neurodiversity Matters

Neurodiversity recognises that differences such as:

  • Autism
  • ADHD
  • Dyslexia
  • Dyspraxia
  • Dyscalculia
  • Tourette Syndrome

and a range of other neurological differences are natural variations within the population.

Many neurodivergent individuals bring valuable skills and perspectives, including creativity, innovation, problem-solving, attention to detail and analytical thinking. However, some may face barriers within education, recruitment or the workplace if support and understanding are not in place.

At Ginger Nut Training, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to access learning, develop skills and reach their potential.

Supporting Learners

As an apprenticeship training provider, we work with learners from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences and circumstances.

We recognise that learners may:

  • Learn differently
  • Process information differently
  • Prefer different communication styles
  • Benefit from different support approaches

Our goal is never to create a “one size fits all” experience. Instead, we aim to provide flexible, learner-centred support that enables individuals to succeed.

This includes working closely with learners, employers and support networks to ensure that appropriate adjustments and support mechanisms are in place where required.

Supporting Employers

Many employers are increasingly recognising the benefits of creating neuroinclusive workplaces.

A more inclusive working environment can help organisations to:

  • Access a broader talent pool
  • Improve employee engagement and retention
  • Increase innovation and creativity
  • Strengthen workplace culture
  • Improve wellbeing and productivity

Through our apprenticeship programmes, we work with employers to help create supportive learning environments and ensure that apprentices can develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed.

Inclusion Is an Ongoing Journey

Joining Neurodiversity in Business is not the end of a journey. It is another step in our wider commitment to:

  • Equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Social mobility
  • Learner success
  • Workforce development
  • Continuous improvement

We know there is always more to learn, and we welcome opportunities to continue developing our understanding and sharing good practice.

Looking Ahead

At Ginger Nut Training, we are proud to support learners and employers from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.

Our membership of Neurodiversity in Business reinforces our commitment to creating opportunities, removing barriers and helping more people access the skills, confidence and support they need to succeed.

By working together with learners, employers and sector partners, we can help build workplaces and learning environments where everyone has the opportunity to contribute and thrive.
