Digital Support Technician Level 3: AI Elements

  • Apprentices learn how to make use AI tools within service desk platforms (chatbots, ticket triage, auto-responses)
  • How to support users who are using AI and AI tools within their roles (Co-pilot, Google workspace etc.)
  • Security, legality and ethics – Understanding the risks, biases, securing prompts, understanding AI hallucinations
  • How to use AI responsibly in the workplace to assist diagnostics and documentation
  • How to use AI as a tool rather than a replacement
  • Developing a responsible and productive mindset in regard to AI

 

Digital Support Technician Level 3: Apprenticeship Overview

  • This apprenticeship suits roles where apprentices are helping to integrate new technology into a business and support end users
  • This apprenticeship suits roles in which apprentices give digital support to particular departments within an organisation. For example, apprentices could be supporting an accounting, sales, or marketing department.
  • Apprentices learn how to diagnose and resolve technical issues and support users with digital tools (email, cloud, office software etc.)
  • There are two routes available for this apprenticeship: Applications Route, which focuses on giving support for company-specific software; and Service Technician, which focuses on giving support to external end users on a range of digital issues.
