I started to rescue chickens in 2013 to support the welfare of these animals and just to give back to society. The hens are rescued from cages before they are slaughtered and go on to live a fulfilling life – up to 5 /7 years.
We donate surplus eggs to the local community in my area and any money raised goes back to the BHWT.
I’m also involved in Thrive, where we basically prep all the grounds and heavy duty work, ready to provide a safe space and positive change to the lives of people living with disabilities or ill health, or who are isolated, disadvantaged, or vulnerable.
