At Ginger Nut Training, we are proud to introduce our AI-Enhanced Level 3 Apprenticeship Pathways—designed to equip learners and employers with the practical, responsible, and industry-aligned AI skills increasingly required in today’s digital workplace.
These pathways do not replace the national apprenticeship standards. Instead, they enhance our existing Level 3 programmes (Digital Support Technician and Data Technician) by embedding applied artificial intelligence skills that support modern job roles.

Digital Support Technician (Level 3) – AI-Enhanced Pathway
This pathway integrates the foundations of the Digital Support Technician standard with additional, workplace-ready AI skills.
What Apprentices Learn
- How AI is used within service desk platforms (chatbots, automated triage, ticket classification)
- Supporting colleagues who use tools such as Microsoft Copilot or Google Workspace AI
- Understanding AI security, responsible use, and prompt-risk awareness (including hallucinations and bias)
- Using AI to assist diagnostics, documentation, and workflow efficiency
- Developing a responsible, ethical approach to AI adoption in support environments
Ideal Candidates
This pathway is ideal for apprentices who help integrate technology, provide digital support across departments, or work in service technician roles.
Data Technician (Level 3) – AI-Enhanced Pathway
