Our Commitment to Net Zero by 2040

We have set an ambitious but essential goal: to reach Net Zero emissions by 2040, supported by a formal Carbon Emissions Reduction Plan first published in 2022 and updated annually.
Our baseline emissions year (2024/25) provides the foundation for transparent year‑on‑year reduction reporting.
As part of this journey, we continually review our environmental performance, update our policies, and embed sustainability into our organisational strategy.

Low-Carbon & Sustainable Travel

We actively encourage staff to choose greener, healthier travel options wherever possible. This includes:
  • Bike to Work Scheme — helping staff access bikes and cycling equipment through an affordable, tax‑efficient programme.
  • Reduced travel through online working, a core commitment in our sustainability policy to minimise unnecessary travel.
