Did you know that 1 in 3 young people will experience homelessness in the 2 years after they leave care?
In some circumstances these young people are expected to be fully independent when they are still just teenagers; often without the support systems in place that every young person needs to thrive. It’s no surprise that so many feel unprepared.
That’s why we started The Ginger Nut Project.

Job Shadowing for Care Experienced Individuals in Colchester

Over the course of a few days, we hope to build up the confidence of young care leavers while they learn and explore their own potential in a professional setting. There will also be the opportunity to have a sit down with one of our Ginger Nut tutors, where they can get some tailored and in-depth guidance about their next steps, along with lots of useful career resources.
